D1Sleep

Privacy Policy

Last updated: December 16, 2025

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how D1Sleep (the "Site" or "Services") collects, uses, and discloses information when you access or use the Services.

D1Sleep is a website that helps you import and view sleep-related metrics from supported sources (such as wearables and health platforms) and your manual inputs. We designed the Services to keep your sleep data private by default and we do not publish or share your sleep data with other users.

This Policy applies only to the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites, apps, devices, or platforms you may use (including wearable manufacturers and health platforms). Those third parties have their own privacy policies and practices.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account information, such as an email address and basic profile details you choose to provide.
  • Manual entries, such as sleep notes, tags, or other inputs you add.
  • Communications, such as messages you send through any in-product feedback or support features (if available).

2.2 Sleep and wellness-related data

When you upload or connect supported sources, we collect sleep-related data you authorize us to access. Depending on your device/provider, this may include sleep start/end times, duration, sleep stages, awakenings, consistency, recovery/readiness scores, and related signals.

Some of this information may be considered sensitive or health-related under certain laws. You choose whether to provide or connect this data.

2.3 Information from connected providers

If you connect third-party services (for example, Whoop, Oura, Apple Health, Garmin, or similar services), we receive data from those services according to the permissions you grant. The specific fields shared depend on the provider and your settings with them.

2.4 Usage and device information

Like most websites, we (and our infrastructure providers) may collect basic log and usage information when you use the Services. This can include IP address, device and browser type, pages/screens viewed, timestamps, and general interaction data used for security, performance, and reliability.

2.5 Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Services (for example, to keep you signed in, maintain sessions, and protect against abuse). You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of the Services may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

3. How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Services (including importing, storing, and displaying your sleep data back to you, and generating on-site summaries and insights).
  • Maintain safety and security (including detecting fraud, preventing abuse, and protecting the Services).
  • Improve reliability and performance (including debugging, monitoring uptime, and understanding feature usage).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use your sleep data for advertising-based profiling. We do not sell your personal information.

4. How We Disclose Information

We do not share your personal sleep data with other users or make it public. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

4.1 Service providers (processors)

To operate the Services, we use third-party infrastructure and tools that process information on our behalf. These may include:

  • Cloudflare (security, content delivery, and performance).
  • Vercel (hosting and deployment).
  • Supabase (database and related backend services).
  • Orchids (development and operational tooling that may be connected to our backend environment).

These providers may process personal information only to provide services to us (for example, hosting, security, and data storage) and not for their own independent purposes, subject to their applicable terms and policies.

4.2 Legal and safety

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; (b) enforce our terms and policies; (c) protect the security or integrity of the Services; or (d) protect rights, property, or safety of users or others.

4.3 Business transfer

If the Services or assets are transferred (for example, as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale), information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We generally retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services to you. Retention depends on the type of information and how it is used (for example, account data versus security logs).

Where account deletion tools are available in the Services, you can delete your account and associated data using those tools. Some information may persist for limited periods in backups or logs, or as required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International Use

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live, including locations where our service providers operate. Data protection laws may differ by jurisdiction.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your Choices

  • Connected accounts: You can disconnect supported providers to stop new imports.
  • Account controls: Where available, you can access, export, or delete your data using in-app settings.
  • Browser controls: You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

If certain controls are not available in the Services at a given time, the Services may not support that request through automated means.

10. Not Medical Advice

The Services are provided for informational and wellness purposes only. D1Sleep is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Sleep data and insights may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on the Services for medical decisions.
